1. Membership

1.1 Join unoduo.com Top of page

unoduo.com can help you find the company you seek, in a fun, safe and secure environment. It's free to join. Click on the ‘Join Now’ tab or the ‘Join Now for Free!’ button and complete the join form.

When you join unoduo.com you will select a Username, Password and Email Address. It is important that you put in the correct email address as you will get a welcome email from unoduo.com confirming your Username and Password.

Once you have joined log back into unoduo.com using your username and password.

Note: Your Username is the name that other members will see when viewing your profile or advertisements.

Membership allows you to:
• complete 'About Me' and all the other profiles that interest you
• search the profiles of members
• leave your profiles for others to search for as long as you like
• 'say hi' to members whose profiles you like
• advertise on the boards in lifestyle, dining, movies, travel and sports
• read advertisements placed by other members
• 'say hi' to members whose advertisements you like
• Create your own private network by inviting friends to join unoduo.com or adding existing members you know.
• store the details of friends you have made or those whose profiles appeal in your contact list
• respond to members who send you a Hi!, with automated reponse messages.
• Send text messages to anyone you wish (up to 50 per day). This opens up a line of communication for you to chat freely together.
• Initiate and maintain contact with as many other members as you wish

Your personal information is secure and confidential, and we provide an anonymous e-mail system where your e-mail address is not revealed. Your membership details can be modified at any time.

1.2 Member Hub Top of page

As soon as you login, with your username and password, you will be taken to your 'Membership Hub'. This page provides access to all the features and services of the site.

If you can’t remember your password, click the forgot your login details? link. You must remember you username and have a correct email address to use this.

Once you have logged in, from the Membership hub, you can:
• search member profiles
• manage your membership
• manage your profiles
• record your friends
• access your messages
• browse, search and post advertisements.
• invite new members onto the site.
• and much more.

Click on the ‘My Hub’ tab to return to your ‘Member Hub’ at any time.

The membership section also allows you to update your member details including your password, e-mail address, and contact details. Update the areas as required and click on the Update button to save your new details.

1.3 My Profiles Top of page

It's free to create your ‘About Me’ profile and one or more of your Leisure, Dining, Travel Movies and Sports Profiles. Creating Profiles will allow other members to contact you.

The available options to manage your profile will be highlighted in profiles list on the "My Profiles" page:

Profile status: Your profile status is displayed on this page indicating the current status of your profile – whether it is Active or Suspended etc. You do not need a profile to contact other members, however, this is the only way they can find out about you.
Create profile: follow the steps to create a profile. All profiles are manually approved for appropriate content, generally within 24 hours. Please note that you need to press the Finish button for your profile to be completed.
Modify profile: follow the steps to modify your profile. Profiles are manually approved for appropriate content, generally within 24 hours.
Preview profile: once you've created a profile, you can see how it will look on the site.
Suspend profile: use this facility if you want some time out; your profile will no longer be visible on the site, however, you can re-activate it at any time.
Re-activate profile: this will re-activate your profile so it will be visible across the network again.

A photo can be a great way to encourage people to contact you…you are many more times likely to receive a Hi!. So add a photo of yourself by clicking the browse button. Make sure that you select a recent photo. You also have the option of uploading two other library images of yourself.

If you don't want others to see your photos, without your permission, then specify a password by checking the images password box and specifying a password between 6 and 20 characters long.

You can send your password along with your 'say hi' messages by checking the 'Send this user my images password' box. Other members can also request your password by sending you a 'hi'. To give them your password, just send them a 'yes I'm interested' message and check the box 'Send this user my images password'.

1.4 My Network Top of page

My Network helps you to contact other members without having to always search for them. My Network is a list of no more than 10 friends you have meet on unoduo.com.

After doing a search, you can add a member to your connections list by clicking the ‘Add to My Network’ icon or button on the search results page. You then must prove that you know this member by entering their first name and surname, or their email address. Once this has been confirmed, their Profile will be added to your Network.

The most interesting part of the My Network is that you can click on a member's ‘Connections’ link and see their network. You can also display their connections' networks as well.

When you're ready to contact someone, click on the "Member Username" to view their profile, or click on the "Send message" icon to send them a text message.

You can remove a member from your Network by checking the Remove Conneciton box next to the members name and clicking the "Remove" button.

When you view a member's profile, or send a member a message, unoduo.com will inform you if they are part of your Network, give you up to three degrees of separation!

1.5 Messages Top of page

The message centre is your communications hub to other unoduo.com members. You will also receive notices from the unoduo.com team in your message centre, so be sure to check it often.

You can access your messages at any time by clicking on the "Messages" tab on the main navigation bar.

Inbox: Your inbox holds all correspondence from both members and unoduo.com. Messages are listed from most recent to oldest, so you shouldn’t need to use the paging controls unless you want to look at your old messages.

New messages are presented in bold text. Simply click on a message title to read it, and click on sender's name to view their profile.

You can block another user’s messages by clicking on the ‘block’ icon, or simply reply to a new correspondent with the "No Thanks" button.

To delete a message from your inbox simply check the box next to the message icon on the left and click the ‘Delete’ button.

Sent Messages: You can review any of your sent messages at any time, via the ‘Sent messages’ feature. To review any message, simply click on the message name link.

Blocked List: Blocked members cannot contact you, and are inactive in searches. Members can be added to your blocked list from messages. This way you can stop them harassing you after you have replied to their initial Hi to you, with a Thank you but No.

You can also unblock members that you have blocked.

1.6 Contact List Top of page

The member Contact List helps you to contact other members on unoduo.com without having to always search for them.

After doing a search, you can add any member to your contact list by clicking the ‘Add to Contact List’ icon or button on the search results page. The Profile will be added to your Contact List. You can also add a short note beside their name, to help you remember why you added them.

When you're ready to contact them, click on the "Compose Email" icon to send them a “Text Message” or click on the "Member Username" to view their profile.

You can remove a member from your contact list by checking the box next to the members name and clicking the Remove button




2. Search

2.1 Quick Search Top of page

The Quick Search can be located on the left on most pages on the site.

The Quick Search Provides the widest possible search results. It is recommended that you use this search while the database is growing.

Once you have found a profile you like, click on the username or the ‘View Profile’ icon to view their full profile. If you like their profile and wish to contact that member then click the ”Say Hi” icon.

To view a user's images click on their thumbnail image. If a user has password protected their images, sending a 'hi' will request their password. When you recieve their password in a reply message, view their profile and enter the password, this will give you access to their images.




3. Bulletin Board

3.1 Browse Activity Board Top of page

To browse the activity boards simply choose a location, the postings you find will be those members have targeted to that location. This does not mean you have to search in your location, just any location you are interested in.

Choose your search filters and click on the ‘Browse’ button. You will be presented with a list of notice postings that match your criteria.

To view the post click on the notice icon on the left, or the notice name link. You can view a member’s profile from the notice detail page. If you like what you see you can send them a HI!

3.2 Post Notice to Bulletin Board Top of page

Posting an notice on the activity board of your choice is easy. Simply choose the location of the posting (does not have to be your own physical location), and specify when your activity is taking place, what you are looking for in a member, how long the notice should last and lastly the notice details themselves.

Try and make the title summarise the sought company/activity, appealing to your target audience so that they feel compelled to click on your notice and see your message.
